Grow your SOCIALS organically!
Organic social media marketing is the foundation from which to build your business. Without a sense of trust, cohesive branding, compelling visuals and a standout social media presence, it’s very hard to thrive in today’s modern marketplace. It’s extremely important to build those online platforms, communicate with potential clients, respond to comments/questions, and post eye-catching content. Check out these tips below for some of my favorite organic growth strategies!
DEMOGRAPHICS: Know your target audience! If you cater to a younger audience, such as Gen Z, maybe it’s time to brush up on TikTok! If you’re targeting a more mature crowd, then definitely utilize Facebook and Instagram! Millenials are taking Instagram by storm, so don’t forget to post quality content and collaborate with influencers that represent your target market! Instagram is quickly turning into a video platform before our very eyes, so be sure and remember that GIFs, Reels and IGTV are worth their weight in gold.
RELATIONSHIPS: It’s all about building trust! Be sure and answer all comments and questions that people may post on Facebook and Instagram. Answer with the knowledge, craftsmanship and care that you put into your business everyday! Be sure and always be friendly — knowing that, more often than not, social media is the “first place” people will look at you, learn about your biz and discover what you have to offer.
VISUALS: Be sure and post compelling, beautiful, and aesthetically pleasing visuals which elevate and enhance your brands. If you do not know how, try taking a stab at Canva, or hire a freelance graphic designer to really wow your audience. Poorly crafted visuals evoke a feeling of mistrust or can even convey apathy towards social media. You want to impress each time, so be sure and take special care and attention to what you’re posting and when….
TIMING: There’s soooo many links, tips and forums online that can tell you when is the best time to post on platforms like Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, etc. I personally like this one and this one to inform me on when is the perfect time to post on each corresponding platform!
PLANNING: Planning out your socials is crucial! You want to post on the right platform, at the right time and make sure you’re utilizing the correct hashtags (but not too many I beg of you!) I personally like to utilize platforms such as Hootsuite, Airtable, Trello or even Google to plan out when and where I am posting. There are a multitude of free or low-cost desktop and phone apps, like Unfold or Planoly to help you design and plan beautiful content that speaks volumes.
